It took place in Rome, at the prestigious Department of Automated Information Systems (Resia) of It Air Force, the conference of AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) “CyberDefence over Cloud: views, experiences and recommendations”.

Colonel Costantino Russo, which is the Commander in Chief of RESIA, opened the conference with the AFCEA Rome Chapter president, General Antonio Tangorra.

During the conference it was shown the state of the art on the italian Cloud presented by Fabio Rizzotto from IDC Italy and the methodologies for the Cloud Security Governance presented by Alberto Manfredi, CEO of “Cloud Security Alliance Italy.

The Lieutenant Colonel Resta has explained the route taken by the IT Air Force and the Italian engineer Nocentini the point of views of the “Poste Italiane” company.

An Important contribution was made, by videoconference from Brussels, by the General Bologna, on what is doing the NATO on this argument.

Subsequently Lawyer Alessandra Finocchio, as a part of the Technical/Scientific’s  committee of  “Cloud for Defence” has emphasized the importance of contractual aspects as part of the Cloud Computing services acquisitions.

After has been the moment of presentation of the study “Cloud Computing in Public administration’s Departements”, done by the Network’s Companies “Cloud For Defence” (www.cloud4defence.eu).

Leandro Aglieri, CEO of Cloud for Defence, has explained that the major concern of public administrators with the transition to Cloud Computing concern the “lack of trust for the protection of data privacy.”

Cloud for Defence, that uses the Star methodology of Cloud Security Alliance, aims to provide to P.A. decision-makers, the awareness of security levels for each of the architectures, already implemented or planned to be adopted.

At the closure of the meeting, major Industries, that produces the “building blocks” of the Cloud, has presented their solutions:
IBM’s engineer Pullo, Business-e with Mr. Mancini and SELTA’s CEO Dr. Tagliaferri.
